I know I’ve mentioned this before, but one of the many things I’m most grateful for is that Randy found love in his life. Not the dirty, lustful, tainted kind of love, but the innocent, most purest love I’ve ever seen. He loved Alyssa (in his own unique way) and wanted only to be with her. Randy loved talking to her and being anywhere she was. When they were supposed to be playing baseball or bowling, you could almost always find him sitting next to her, talking her head off lol. And she always listened patiently. They seemed to be a perfect match for one another….
I’ve often heard it said that when you leave this world, you leave with what you were born with- nothing. But I don’t believe that’s true. While Randy may have started out with nothing, he left with more than he came here with….love. Randy took our love with him. Love transcends life, death, or even time itself. And I know he is loved and missed by more than just me and my family.
In the case of Randy and Alyssa, I believe one day, their hearts will be reunited. The love they have for each other isn’t gone….it’s just sleeping. And one day, these two hearts will find each other again…
