Somewhere in our relationship, Randy and I declared war on each other. Don’t know how it started or who fired the first shot, but he and I were always trying to torture each other. And our favorite thing to do was to shoot each other in the face with little foam Nerf missiles. To be honest though, if it could be launched or thrown, chances are we’ve hit each other in the face with it lol. Now, as many of you fellow torturers know, accidents can (and will) happen from time to time and we’d shoot each other in the eye lol. When that would happen, Randy would yell, “DADDY!!!” as loud as he could, like I had really hit him below the belt lol.
Our battles are legendary to this day. And the holidays were more like war zones because we’d usually get some new Nerf gun and we’d both try our best to completely destroy each other! One Christmas, we even had fake snow balls and we lit each other up lol! There were these little fake snow balls all over the place. It was glorious! Randy wasn’t much of a thrower though, so I had the advantage. But he could be deadly with a Nerf gun. He and I had hit each other in the eyes several times over the history of our long war to torture the other. It was an occupational hazard that we gladly put up with to have our twisted fun.
It was one of these epic encounters that Randy made me laugh so hard, I honestly thought I was going to pee myself. He and I were shooting away at each other with all the Nerf bullets we could find. When suddenly, poor Randy ran out of ammunition! He and I both frantically scanned the floor for stray bullets when I happened to notice one laying behind my foot. When I knelt down to pick up that bullet, Randy KNEW he was in trouble lol! He ran up our home stairs like an Olympic sprinter and quickly tried to shut the bathroom door to ruin my chances of hitting him with that last bullet. I got to the top of the stairs just as Randy was in the process of shutting the door and fired. BAM! Just as the door shut, I got him right in the mouth through the most narrow opening ever lol! Randy made such a sound when he yelled about that, I couldn’t help but laugh! In fact, I laughed so hard, I thought I was about to need a change of pants lol. And behind the closed bathroom door, he was laughing just as hard as I was. I have never laughed so hard in my life…
And to this day, no one has ever made me laugh like Randy…
