Night to Shine

Randy went to his first Tim Tebow Night to Shine prom in 2016. I had to work late so he got to ride with his girl friend Alyssa. They had been friends since high school and graduated together in 2015. Randy was soo excited to ride with her because he said that was his official first date. I arrived around the same time her mom did because she got lost. But she said Randy told all sorts of jokes the whole way there. It was about a 50 minute car ride LOL. After we got all checked in, Randy and Alyssa walked the red carpet together hand in hand. First time ever holding hands. They went and got corsages and were crowned king and queen. Randy also did karaoke, which he did The Final Countdown and Alyssa did Let it Go. The funny thing with the karaoke was Randy froze – he just stood there lol. Finally someone told him to start singing. It was so hilarious to watch. They also had food and a wall of desserts and donuts. After all that, they danced the night way. When it was all over, they got a backpack full of goodies. Over the next few years, Randy and Alyssa ended up going 6 of these proms together. They are free and for special needs kids. Always the Friday before Valentine’s Day. I enjoyed always going and watching. There was always soo much joy, love, and happiness every year.
