I’ve never started a blog before, so I decided to start at the obvious place, which is what Randy means to me. I have 3 children and I love them all. Randy was my oldest, so I was with him the longest. With that being said, I love ALL of my children equally. But Randy was always different. He was always a breed apart from the other two children. Maybe it was his early illness in life, maybe it was just the way he was wired….who knows. But for whatever reason, Randy was always special. He got sick, but never got down. He wasn’t tall like his high school classmates, but when you were his friend, he never forgot that. Randy would reach out at different times, just to check and see how his friends were….
“Hey buddy, how are you….”
He did that a lot. Sad to say, many of friends didn’t answer him back, which breaks my heart now. But Randy was loyal to those he cared about. I’m very proud of him for that. I’ll spare the real Randy stories for future posts, but I wanted to get this site off the ground and let you know that what my family and I type in these blogs are not just for the reader – these words of love are really meant for him. With every word I type, I’m just trying to reach him really, trying to let him know how much I still love him. I’m hoping some way, some how, God lets this cosmic connection get through to him and Randy can still feel our love. Remember, my new friends…life ends, but love is eternal.
As always, I love you son…..
